Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas follows Carl Johnson, known as CJ, who returns to Grove Street in 1992 after his mother’s murder and finds his old gang falling apart. Framed by corrupt officers led by Frank Tenpenny, CJ is pushed across an entire state inspired by early 90s California and Nevada, from the streets of Los Santos to the foggy hills of San Fierro and the casinos of Las Venturas.

Released by Rockstar Games in 2004, it became the best selling game on the PlayStation 2 and a long time favorite of PC modders. Today you can buy the official Definitive Edition on Steam, which updates the lighting, textures and controls, or play the mobile version on Android.

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas Gameplay Overview

Missions mix gang wars, car chases, heists and flight school, but the real hook is how much the world reacts to you. CJ can build muscle or gain weight, raise driving and shooting skills through practice, recruit gang members, take over territory, buy properties and date girlfriends across the map. Outside the story you can race, ride BMX, fly jets, swim, gamble in casinos or simply cause chaos and see how long you survive the police.
