Prototype follows Alex Mercer, who wakes up in a morgue with no memory and terrifying new powers as a deadly virus spreads across Manhattan. While the military unit Blackwatch tries to contain the outbreak, Alex hunts the people responsible for what happened to him.

How The Game Plays

Alex can run up buildings, glide between rooftops and transform his arms into claws, blades, a whipfist or a hammer. By consuming people he regains health and steals their memories and appearance, letting him disguise himself as soldiers to infiltrate bases. The city reacts with military strikes and infected hordes, and Web of Intrigue targets reveal the backstory.
