Sam & Max Hit the Road is a 1993 LucasArts adventure based on Steve Purcell’s comic about the Freelance Police, a laid back canine detective named Sam and his unhinged partner Max. When a bigfoot escapes from a carnival, the pair hit the road across America to bring him back.
Alongside Day of the Tentacle and Monkey Island, it is one of the great LucasArts point and click comedies, and it later inspired Telltale’s episodic Sam & Max seasons.
